That Which Transcends Time -Unbreakable Bonds-

The ties between two people, realized from the time that they meet begins it’s growth, heading forward to an unknown future, a future which can’t truly be realized, for the flow of time forever onwards it goes. The never ending sky which hangs above our heads, when will that vast expanse end? Never, just as time itself. They stretch forwards in all directions, past the unreachable horizon, and show us it’s true form, the definition of “Forever”. To an unknown tomorrow, we are heading, with us are our ties with other people, the bonds which are formed throughout our life times. Cherish each one, for uncertain are the directions each one will take.

In the road each bond takes, there are challenges that we come across. Alone we can never overcome it, for with the other we must be with, to surpass the challenge. The bonds that overcome a few challenges, but stop at the first true challenges, are our acquaintances. Bonds that overcome the first true challenge, become our friends. The more Challenges overcome, the closer we become. Those that we have no challenges with, our simply acquaintances, for no friendship goes without hardship. Then those that create difficulties in bonds, those we may call our enemies.

Upon meeting someone, the thoughts that go through our mind, are they positive, or are they negative? Do we judge them upon the way they look? Do we look down on them simply because we do not approve of some minute trait about them we may have noticed? Do we make assumptions about their personality simply because they seem good or bad? Is that first impression going to determine how we treat them the next time we see them? Be it conscious or subconscious thought, chances are these thoughts and more is what goes on in our minds upon meeting someone. But do we ever ask ourselves, is the person we are meeting, underneath a mask? Or perhaps a layer of masks, with his true self hidden away in the depths of his heart and mind. Or maybe, this person doesn’t wear any form of mask, nothing to hide who and what he is, as he shows his true form to everyone and everything, one such as that is indeed a rare find.

With bonds constantly changing, do we question ourselves is this bond being formed real or is it attached to a mask, ready to be cast aside by the other person at anytime? Perhaps the truth we’ll never find, so in the meantime we enjoy those bonds for as long as they last. Does the thought ever occur, is this friendship for real, is it worth having? It’s effects on oneself, are they good and bad? As the more time spent with a person, the stronger the bond grows, and with it, the influence which travels from both sides affecting the other. As with bonds that are not desirable, the only filter is to cut it, before it grows to a point where to turn back, is a difficult task.

That which ties us all together, are the bonds that are formed with those we interact with, and in a broader sense the bonds which we do not have but those we know do, and so on and so forth, in that way we are all connected. Invisible strings connecting us to each other, the very same strings which connect us all together, this is part of what makes us what we are, that is what makes us human, what allows us to connect to each other, to try and understand others, to share thoughts and ideas, the feelings and emotions we all have.

But with all these invisible connections, there is the legend of one that is special, the “red string”, forever tied to our ankles, which can never break, which can never be cut. Although unaware of it, the other end is tied to what some may call our destinies, the red string which leads to our eventual partner for life. It may stretch, it may tangle, but never can it be severed. A bond unbreakable, formed through unknown circumstances, for it to even exist is said to be rare and only occurs when two meet early in life, with great tragedy ahead in their future, although they themselves completely unaware of it. But as it is said, it is only a legend, a myth of that which Transcends Time… an Unbreakable Bond.

  1. “With bonds constantly changing, do we question ourselves is this bond being formed real or is it attached to a mask, ready to be cast aside by the other person at anytime?” it’s not just the bonds that change, the things boded to each other change in different directions, it’s a new fit.

    • That indeed… I focused on emphasizing the bonds themselves that I must have overlooked putting that in. Thank you for your input.
